On the linked flow charts (PDF) of the preceding days, you can watch again and again very steep and high outbreaks. What is actually behind such a sudden rash? Most are thunderstorms with heavy rainfall which a river to swell as in the image on the left.
The level can rise very slowly or very quickly. This is then connected to a tidal wave, which at high speed (about 30 km / h) and accumulated with driftwood comes along.
